A New Decade
The new decade has become more of interest since our grandchildren will emerge into young adults who will be starting to develop their interests that will enable to earn a living and contribute to the world. It has been fascinating to notice their development. The opportunity to be all together twice a year is a gift that we treasure.
It would be unfair to speculate on their future interests. Needless to say, we look forward to their decisions about higher education. When another decade emerges, the discussion may focus on post-graduate education for some. Even our youngest grandchild, Kellen, it will a joy seeing her graduate from high school.
I am always focusing on the moment. The future will be what it will be. I want to treasure each moment so that each sign of growth is appreciated.
I never personally experienced grandparents. My paternal grandparents died when I was two. I have no idea about the status of my mother’s parents. She never talked about them. In fact, she never referenced anything about her personal history.
The gift of our family experience is treasured. We are fortunate people.
